Who died peacefully at Loughlinstown hospital. Pre-deceased by her husband Liam. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her son Brian, daughter Joan, Jackie, Alan and grandchildren – Joseph, Ian and Alana. Sisters Kitty, Maura, Breda, Freda and brother Michael, Nieces and Nephews.

Rest In Peace.

Peg will be reposing at McCrea’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road Wicklow Town (A67E003) this Tuesday evening 21st July from 5.00pm to 8.00pm.

Removal Wednesday to St Patrick’s Church Wicklow Town arriving for 10.00am Funeral Mass, which can also be viewed on the following link Peg’s Funeral Mass , followed by interment in Rathnew Cemetery.

Peacefully, in the loving care of the wonderful staff of the Tara Care Centre. Clare Frances Pippet (nee Power) of Church Hill, Wicklow, formerly of Athlone, deeply missed by her husband Dr. Bruce Vincent Pippet, her children Michele, Damian and Vincent and their partners, her grandchildren Colin, Dylan, Marcus, Evan, Uinseann, Eabha and great grandson Rheo. Cherished aunt of Samantha, Justine, Poppy and Stephen, sister of the late James Power and Meeda Ambrose (nee Power). Clare will be missed by extended family and friends, particularly Assumpta, Jackie and Maria.

Funeral Mass this Thursday morning 16th July at 10.00am in St Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town, which can also be viewed by clicking on Clare’s Funeral Mass , followed by interment in Coosan Cemetery Co. Westmeath, arriving for 1.15pm approximately.

Gretta (Margaret) Kavanagh née Martin of 43 St Manntan’s Park, Wicklow Town and formerly of Bree, Enniscorthy, Co Wexford who passed away with her family by her side on Saturday 4th July 2026 in the tender loving care of the staff at Wicklow Hospice who made it a home from home in the last weeks of Gretta’s life. Beloved wife and best friend of 61 years to Jim Kavanagh; adored mother of Edward, Diane, Maurice, Jacqueline, Mairéad and Bernadette and cherished Granny of Mark, Louise, Nathan, Lauren, Darren, Leah, Ella, Jamie, Mark, James, Donal and Evie. Lovingly remembered by Annmarie, Aoife, Barry, Paddy and Patrick and also by her sisters, brothers , nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Gretta will rest at the family home on Tuesday from 3pm until 7pm. House private at all other times.

Removal on Wednesday morning at 9.40am walking via St Patrick’s Road to arrive at St Patrick’s Church for 10am funeral Mass after which Gretta will be laid to rest in Barndarrig Cemetery.

Gretta lit up so many lives, please wear bright colours to honour her life.

originally of Surrey, UK before moving to Ireland with the Walpole family where she became a very long upstanding loved member of the community of Ashford Co. Wicklow and Wicklow Town Co. Wicklow.

Elizabeth Margaret Davidson passed away peacefully, in her 96th year, at Knockrobin Hill, Nursing Home, Co. Wicklow. Deeply loved and treasured by the Bergin family, she was far more than a nanny; she was a constant source of love, kindness, wisdom and unwavering care across generations. Her warmth, gentle nature and quiet strength touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Nanny was our family not through blood but through love and she will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by the Bergin family, her relatives and friends in England and Ireland, her amazing neighbors, Mary Byrne, Terry, Chris and Ben and the many people whose lives she enriched through her years in Ashford & Wicklow

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Predeceased by her beloved parents and sister Jean. Nanny will be forever loved and sadly missed by Eileen Bergin, Denis Bergin, Karl Bergin, Claus Bergin, neighbors and her wide circle of friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth and the many happy memories she leaves with all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Funeral Mass this Saturday 4th July in Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Ashford at 11.00am,

followed by Private Cremation.

The Bergin family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all those who cared for Nanny throughout her final months, a special thanks goes out to her dear friend and neighbor Mary Byrne, all the incredibly kind staff at St.Columcille’s Hospital, and also to all the staff at Knockrobin Hill Nursing Home who made Nanny’s final weeks easier through their love and compassion towards her. They also wish to thank everyone who has shown such kindness, support and sympathy during this difficult time. Your thoughtfulness and prayers are deeply appreciated.

Robert (Bob) Hughes of Wicklow Town and formerly Coolgreany Co Wexford who passed away in his 87th year on Monday 29th June 2026 at St Vincent’s University Hospital. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Anne, son Ger, daughter in law Sandra, grandson Ruadhán, and by his siblings Ned and Noel, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his siblings Valerie, Mary, Paddy and Joseph.

Reposing at Flannery’s Funeral Home Bachelors Walk, Wicklow Town on Thursday from 5pm until 7pm. The funeral cortège will drive from the family home on Friday morning at 9.40am to St Patrick’s Church arriving for funeral Mass at 10am after which Bob will be laid to rest in Rathnew Cemetery.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
