About the Parish

The Parish of Kilbride, Barndarrig & Brittas Bay (KBB) is in Co. Wicklow and has three churches. The parish is co-ordinated through the Parish Office in Wicklow town. Its official name is the Parish of ‘Kilbride and Barndarrig’. In 1960 Brittas Bay Church (Our Lady Star of the Sea) was built as a chapel of ease in the parish. And now the parish is often referred to as Kilbride-Barndarrig-Brittas Bay (KBB).

These churches have a varied history, being built from the 1850s up to the 1950s.
