Ronan Griffey (Dundrum, Co. Dublin and Wicklow Town, Co. Wicklow)

April 25th, 2026.

Passed away peacefully in his home encircled by those he loved and adored most. Loving son of the late Sean.

Deeply loved and sadly missed, Ronan will be remembered always by his beloved, devoted wife Ruth; his cherished daughters Rachel, Caitlin and Jessica; his future son-in-law Leo; his mother Mary, and his siblings Hilary and Shane. He will be fondly remembered also by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, the extended Griffey and Dunn families and his wide circle of dear friends.

Ronan will be reposing at McCrea’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Wicklow Town (A67E003) this Tuesday (April 28th) from 5:00pm, concluding at 8:00pm.

Funeral arriving to St. Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town on Wednesday morning (April 29th) arriving 10.00am Funeral Mass which can also be viewed by clicking on Ronan’s Funeral Mass followed by

Cremation Service at McCrea’s Cremation Chapel, Dublin Road, Wicklow Town (A67E003) at 11.45am, for all those who wish to attend.

Those unable to attend the Service can be viewed by clicking on McCrea’s cremation Chapel (viewing at time of service only).

Cathal B. Stockdale Dunbur, Wicklow Town and formerly of Ashford, Co. Wicklow & Cobh, Co. Cork.

21st April 2026.

Re-united with his devoted wife, Maureen. Sadly missed by his children Denise, Cathal & Vanessa and their partners Damien, Nea & Raj. His siblings Cathleen, Rory, Aidan, Mairead & Tomás and all of their families. His brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and all their families. Also missed by all his extended family, neighbours and friends.

Rest in peace.

Cathal will be reposing at McCrea’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Wicklow Town (A67E003) this Thursday evening 23rd April from 5.00pm to 7.00pm.

Removal Friday to Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Ashford arriving for 11.00am Funeral Mass followed by interment in Killoughter Cemetery with his beloved wife Maureen.

Thanks to all of the medical staff who looked after him and his family so well.

Breda Delaney née Kennedy of Mount Carmel Avenue, Wicklow Town and formerly Ballygannon, Rathdrum who passed away on Wednesday 15th April 2026 peacefully at St Vincent’s University Hospital with family by her side. Lovingly remembered by her husband Tommy, son Jason and his partner Lavina, and by her adored grandchildren Tia, Taylor, Chloe and Holly along with her sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, extended family, Bébhinn and Elaine and her many friends.

May she rest in peace.

Breda will repose at the family home from 5pm until 8pm on Thursday. House private on Friday. Removal on Saturday morning at 9.30am walking via St Laurence’s Road to arrive at St Patrick’s Church for 10am funeral Mass after which Breda will be laid to rest in Three Mile Water Cemetery.

Jim (Shea) Crofton of Darragh Park, Wicklow Town and formerly Wexford Town who passed away in his 93rd year on Saturday 11th April 2026 at St Vincent’s University Hospital. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary (née Knowles) and his son Jimmy. Lovingly remembered by his sons Michael and Sean, brothers Tommy, John and Vivien, Goddaughter Noelle, grandson James, great grandchildren James and Amelia and by the extended Crofton and Knowles families and his friends.

May I walk towards Christ in the footsteps of St Francis always.

Jim will repose at Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk, Wicklow Town from 5pm until 7pm on Wednesday. Removal on Thursday morning from the family home at 11.40am walking via St Patrick’s Road to St Patrick’s Church, arriving for funeral Mass at 12 noon after which Jim will be laid to rest in Rathnew Cemetery.

The family would like to express their immense gratitude to all the staff of St Lucey’s ward at St Vincent’s University Hospital for the compassionate care shown to Jim in his final days and to all the staff at Salem Medical for their care and help to Jim over many years.

Eileen Murphy née Doherty of Wicklow Town and formerly Cheshire England who passed away in her 99th year peacefully on Sunday 5th April 2026 at St Vincent’s University Hospital. Predeceased by her beloved husband Johnnie and son Paul. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughter Caroline, sons Sean and William, grandchildren Jennifer, Daniel and Thomas, great-grandchildren Sille and Eily, daughters-in-law Annie and Trish, extended family and friends.

May she rest in peace.

John Cullen of Blainroe who passed away on Saturday 4th April, 2026, peacefully at St Colman’s Hospital, Rathdrum, with family by his side.

Predeceased by his loving parents Paddy and Ann and siblings Michael, Anne Marie, Joseph and Catherine. Much loved brother of Patricia, Ellen, Sarah, Myles, Mary, Elizabeth, Theresa, James, Pauline, Philip, David and Clare. Sadly missed by his loving family, Aunt Ena, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Douglas (Dougie) Bain of Wicklow Town and formerly Dublin who passed away peacefully on Tuesday 31st March 2026 in the wonderful care of Wicklow Hospice surrounded by his two sons and brother.

Beloved husband of Ann (née Murphy), loving father of Christopher and Mark, and grandfather of Callum. Dougie will be sadly missed by his family, siblings Alan and Aisling, daughters in law Laura and Áine, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Douglas and Anne and brother David.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.
