Margaret Ring née O’Neill of Kilquade, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Rathmines, Dublin who passed away on Wednesday 20th March 2024 unexpectedly but peacefully at the Knockrobin Hill Care Home. Predeceased by Aidan, her beloved husband for 48 years. Loving and much loved mother of Karena and Grainne and adoring grandmother to Theodore Aidan. She will be sadly missed by her family, siblings Winnie, Ellen, John, Mary, Tom, Peter, Ann, Catherine and Trish, son in law Kevin, brothers and sisters in law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Margaret will repose at the Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk, Wicklow Town from 5pm until 7pm on Monday. Funeral arriving to St Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town on Tuesday morning for funeral Mass at 10am followed by burial in Rathnew Cemetery.

James (Shay) McDermott Ballinalea Ashford and formerly Newcastle

Shay passed away 18th March 2024 peacefully at St Columcille’s Hospital. Predeceased by his beloved wife Janice, great grandson Oliver Thomas, parents Thomas and Elizabeth and siblings Morris, Billy, Tommy and Mick. Sadly missed by his children Susan, Andrew, Sherry, Sharon and Stephen, grandchildren David, Michaela, Ross, Adam, Katie, Matthew, Phillip, Stuart, Malcolm, Ella, Aaron and Stephen, great grandchildren Lexie, Laney, Keelan, Ollie, Lily, Éola, Charlie, Noah and Lucas and by his siblings Larry, Andy, Sean, Lawrence, Marie, Kevin, Oliver and Noel, son in law Ernie, daughter in law Teresa, extended family and friends.

Shay will repose at Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk, Wicklow Town from 5pm until 7pm on Friday. Removal from his home at 10.30am on Saturday morning at walking pace to the Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Ashford arriving for funeral Mass at 11am followed by a private cremation.

Anastasia (Stasia) Hagan, 8 St. Manntan’s Road, Wicklow Town, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Ballinteskin, Co. Wicklow. 16th March 2024, peacefully at Aisling House Nursing Home, Arklow, in her 94th year. Sadly missed by her cousins Fintan, Paula, May, Breda and Elizabeth, extended family, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Annie, brothers Frank and Andy and sisters Anne, Patty and May.

Liam Kelly of Ballylusk Farm, Ashford and formerly Banogue, Limerick who passed away on Sunday 10th March 2024 peacefully at St Vincent’s University Hospital. Predeceased by his beloved wife Geraldine, parents Daniel and Bridget and his siblings Eamon and Maura. Loving and much loved father of Rowena, Vanessa, Donal, Grace and Billy and adored grandad of Joseph, Ava, Matthew, Niamh, Daniel, Fiachra and Milo. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Noreen and Eileen, extended family especially his niece Siobhan and by his friends.

Ann Richardson (née Coghlan) Wicklow Town and formerly Sandymount, Dublin.

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of Ann Richardson (née Coghlan), who passed away very peacefully on March 8th, aged 77 years, surrounded by her loved ones, under the wonderful care of the staff at Kilcoole Lodge, Nursing Home. Predeceased recently by her husband Noel, her brothers Conor and Joe and sister Sally. Ann was an absolute lady and will be sorely missed by her son Sam and daughters Joanne and Lynn, her sister Helen, brothers Michael and Brian, her son-in-law Richard and daughter-in-law Jane and her grandchildren Jacob, Niamh, Freya, Oisín, Poppy, Thomas, Conor, Abbie and Naoise, along with her many friends and extended family.

Elizabeth (Betty) Kavanagh née Reilly of “The Mount “ Ballyguile, Wicklow Town, who passed away on Friday 8th March in her 95th year, peacefully at Blainroe Lodge Nursing Home. Predeceased by her beloved husband Charlie, son Steven (Budda), parents Mick and Bess and siblings Willie, Mary, Jackie, Gerry and Michael. Una passed away peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Knockrobin Hill, Care Home. Beloved wife of Denis, mother of Ann – Marie and Eugene, and adoring granny of little Oscar. Remembered with love by her brothers Brian and Paddy, sisters Mary and Rhona and their partners, son-in-law Dave and Eugene’s partner Valentina, extended family and her many friends. Predeceased by her sister Nora.
