Elizabeth (Betty) Ryan née Dooley of Ballyguile Beg, Wicklow Town and formerly of Ballymartin, Ballyouskill Co Kilkenny who passed away peacefully at the Blainroe Lodge, Nursing Home in her 87th year on Saturday 22nd July 2023. Beloved wife of the late Patrick (Paddy) and much loved mother of Seamus, Katherine and Mairead. Sadly missed by her family, grandchildren Mark, Neil, Niamh, Ciara, Muireann, Rian and Meibh, son in law Michael, extended family and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Betty will repose at Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk, in Wicklow Town, from 6pm until 7pm on Wednesday. Funeral arriving to St Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town, on Thursday morning for 10am funeral Mass followed by interment in Rathnew Cemetery.

 

John Vincent Ferguson of Wicklow Town and formerly of Ballinabarney, Rathnew who passed away on Saturday 15th July 2023 peacefully at St Vincent’s University Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Joe and Margaret and brother Bernie. Loving husband of Hannah and much loved father of Patrick, Thomas, John, Tony and Shane. Sadly missed by his siblings Sr Elizabeth OP and Br Gregory (De La Salle), grandchildren Tritz, Evan, Kyle, Sophie, Oisín, Maebh, Eve, Odhran, Blathnaíd, Hannah, Thom, Molly-Rose and Hugo, daughters in law Susan, Mary, Paula, Karen and Caroline and by his extended family and friends.

Mary McCarthy (née O’ Farrell) Wicklow, formerly Rathfarnham, Co. Dublin, 15th July 2023,

peacefully in the devoted and loving care of the staff of Kinvara Nursing Home, Bray. Adored wife of the late Seamus McCarthy and mother of the late Seamus Og, loving and devoted mum of Miriam. Sadly missed by her daughter Miriam, son in law Tom, sister Phil, relatives and friends.

Mary will be reposing at her home in Wicklow this Monday evening, 17th July, from 5.00pm to 7.00pm.

Removal Tuesday morning to St. Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town, arriving for 10.00am Funeral Mass which can also be viewed on www.wicklowparish.ie  followed by interment in Mount Venus Cemetery Rathfarnham.

Mary Guiney, née Corwell,   Wicklow Town and late of Dublin

Mary passed away on Sunday, 9th July 2023, in her 86th year, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of the Wicklow Hospice. Predeceased by her dearly loved husband Eamonn and brother Niall. Loving mother of Mary, Ciara, Triona and Eamonn. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her family, grandchildren Kerri, Bradley, Aoife, Molly and Cian, sons-in-law, daughter in law, brothers Dermot and Vincent, sisters Vina, Hilary and Dorothy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, extended family and friends.

 

A gathering for family and friends will take place at Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk, in Wicklow Town from 5pm until 6pm on Thursday evening with prayers at 5.30pm. Funeral arriving to St Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town, on Friday for 2pm funeral Mass followed by interment in Rathnew Cemetery.

ANN O’NEILL, née Merrigan, Rosehill and formerly Summer Hill,  

Wicklow Town 

Ann passed away very peacefully after a long illness borne with great patience and dignity at Blackrock Clinic on Saturday, 8th July 2023.   Predeceased by her beloved husband Jim, parents Tom and Chrissie Merrigan, sister-in-law Sheila and her cousins Noeleen, Mick, Breda and Seamus.

Sadly missed by her sister Mary Murray and her husband John (Jack), her sisters-in-law Peg, Jean, Dorothy, Mary and Teresa, her Lambert cousins, May, Peggy and Eileen, her Merrigan cousins, Maria and Anne and all their families and by her friends.

passed away peacefully  in his 92nd year on the 5th July at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved brother of his sister Mary and sister in law Molly.
