Melanie Carton of Springfield Court, Wicklow formerly Darragh Park, Wicklow Town. December 26th 2025 suddenly at St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Pre-deceased by her father Richard Carton, grandmothers Hannah Carton (née Vickers) and Agnes Fagan (née Strahan).

Remembered with love by her heartbroken daughters Ellie and Demi, mother Kathleen (née Fagan), sister Stephanie, brothers Stephen and Leonard, sister-in-law Lilly, nieces and nephews Tia, Lee, Richard, Holly and Sophie, extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

The funeral cortège will leave from Melanie’s home in Springfield Court on Thursday morning January 1st 2026 at 11am walking to St. Patrick’s Church, St Patrick’s Road, Wicklow Town, Co. Wicklow A67 AE37 arriving for 11.30am funeral Mass after which Melanie will be laid to rest in Rathnew Cemetery.

Walter Vaughan, Late of Ballinacarrig, Brittas Bay, Co. Wicklow, formally of Ballinruan, Crusheen, Co. Clare.

Walter passed away peacefully in the care of St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin surrounded by his loving family on Sunday 28th December 2025.

Predeceased by his parents John and Mary and his sister Carmel. Walter will be deeply missed and forever loved by his wife Eileen, son Conor, daughter Marie Claire, daughter in law Clare, son in law Muiris, granddaughter Beth, brother in law Jack and extended family and friends.

Walter will be reposing at McCrea’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Wicklow Town (A67E003) this Thursday afternoon 1st January 2026 from 4.00pm to 7.00pm.

Removal Friday to Star of the Sea Church Brittas Bay arriving for 11.30am Funeral Mass followed by interment in Three Mile Water cemetery.

Mary Windsor (née Shortall), Glenealy, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Killoughter, Ashford Co. Wicklow. 28th December 2025, peacefully at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Dick. Sadly missed by her loving son Willie, daughters Hannah and Sarah, daughter-in-law Yvonne, sons-in-law Simon and Andrew, grandchildren Emma, Sean, Rhys, Grace and Laura, great-grandson Roan, Emma’s husband Dale, Sean’s partner Leah, her brother Tom, nieces, nephews, relatives, her treasured friend Audrey, her carers, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home from 5pm on Tuesday, 30th December. Removal on Wednesday, New Year’s Eve, at 6.30pm to Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Ashford, arriving at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday, New Year’s Day, at 11am followed by burial in Killoughter Cemetery.

Kathleen Crean née Culleton of Kilmartin, Ashford and formerly Kilmore Quay, Co Wexford who passed away in her 83rd year on Sunday 14th December 2025 at St Columcille’s Hospital Loughlingstown. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Eddie, son John, siblings Marie, John and Billy, daughter in law Susan, grandchildren Tom, Erin and Ava, and by her lifelong friend Mary, extended family and friends.

Kathleen will repose at Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk, Wicklow Town from 5pm until 7pm on Wednesday. Funeral arriving to the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Ashford on Thursday for funeral Mass at 11am after which Kathleen will be laid to rest in Killoughter Cemetery.

Thomas Byrne of Seafield, Wicklow Town who passed away peacefully on Monday 8th December 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

Deeply missed and forever loved by his beloved wife Anne (née Davis) daughter Anne-Marie, sons David and Anthony, son in law Enan, daughter in law Grainne, and by his adored grandchildren Enan, Oscar, Aodh, Feithin and Rian, brother Jack, sister Maura, cousin Katherine, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by his sister Anne.
