John Doyle St. Patricks Avenue, Wicklow Town

13th May 2025.

Peacefully in his sleep after a long illness, at home. Predeceased by his wife Aileen (nee Sillery), his parents James & Maureen & sister Maria. Beloved dad of Stephen, Helena & Joanne & treasured grandad of Jack, Rachael, Maya, Abbie, Lily, Sophie, Ruby & Myla, he will be sadly missed by his son, daughters, sons in law Stephen & Ian, grandchildren, brothers Shay, Tom & Andy and sisters Catherine, Muriel & Christine, extended family & friends.

John will be reposing at McCrea’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Wicklow Town (A67E003) this Thursday evening 15th May from 5.00pm to 8.00pm.

The funeral cortège will leave from the family home on St. Patrick’s Avenue on Friday morning at 11.30am walking to St. Patrick’s Church, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12.00 noon, which can also be viewed by clicking on John’s Funeral Mass after which John will be laid to rest in Rathnew Cemetery.

Patrick Ferguson, Milltown Lane, Ashford, Co. Wicklow , formerly of Altidore, Kilpedder, Co. Wicklow.

Late of C Coy 21st Infantry Battalion, retired Company Commander with 41 years service, and late of the Construction Industry Federation.

Peacefully following a long illness bravely borne, surrounded by loving family, in the compassionate care of St Vincent’s University Hospital, on Friday 2nd May 2025.Pre-deceased by his son Patrick, brother John and his parents James and Joan. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Winifred (nee Lord), his daughters Fiona, Siobhan and Miriam, his beloved grandchildren Anna, Isobel and Patrick, his sisters Lena, Maureen and Joan, his brothers PJ, Seamus, and Joseph, son in law Cathal, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Special thanks to all those who came to spend time with Patrick and his family in his final days. Thanks to the staff of the Sugarloaf Nursing Home for their care in the past months.

May Patrick Rest in Peace.

Funeral Mass Saturday at 2.00pm in Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Ashford followed by interment in Glenealy cemetery.

Esther Kinsella (née Whelan), Ballinteskin, Wicklow Town, Co. Wicklow. 4th May 2025, peacefully at St. Columcille’s Hospital, Loughlinstown, in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Joe. Sadly missed by her son Michael, her twin daughters Mary and Doreen, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Veronica Carroll née O’Grady of Castle Street, Wicklow Town who passed away on Wednesday 30th April 2025 peacefully at Knockrobin Hill Care Home. Predeceased by her beloved husband George. Loving mother of Mary, Matt and Marty and adored grandmother of Jessie, Sarah, Áine, Georga, Rebecca, David, Isabelle and Hazel and great grandmother of Bobby and Elsie. Sadly missed by her family, daughter in law Sandra, extended family and many friends.

May she rest in peace.

Veronica will repose at Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk, Wicklow Town on Friday from 5pm until 7pm. Removal from the family home on Saturday morning at 8.45am at walking pace via Market Square and Main Street to St Patrick’s Church arriving for funeral Mass at 9.15am after which Veronica will be laid to rest with George in Rathnew Cemetery.
