Edmond Symes of Wicklow Town and formerly of Clonmel, Co. Tipperary and Glasnevin, Dublin who passed away in his 98th year on Easter Sunday April 9th 2023 at St Vincent’s University Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband and best friend of the late Eithne (née Drohan) for 67 years and loving and much-loved father of Marion and Elizabeth. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters and by his sisters in law Una Power and Denise Drohan, son in law Kevin and adoring grandchildren Pauline, Laura, Noel, Amy, Joanne, Emma and Keith and great-grandchildren Chloe, Emily, Eli and Brodie, extended family and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Edmond will repose at Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk in Wicklow Town on Friday from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral arriving to St Patrick’s Church on Saturday morning for 11am funeral Mass followed by interment in Killoughter Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Knockrobin Care Home for the excellent care and friendship shown to Edmond during his stay with them.
